Hola Casey y Hola Ismael,

I found some excelent websites that can be very useful for teachers to promote diversity in the classroom. Also, some of these websites give teachers ideas and examples of lesson plans and projects that relate to the Spanish language and the Spanish/Hispanic. Check them out and let me know what you think of them- maybe you can add them as link of your blog.

Hi Tania,

Thank you for sharing these sites with us. I especially enjoyed viewing LaRed Latino. I was able to see the demographics in Tucson, Arizona - my hometown. It was able to explain why I have such a fascination with the Spanish language. I was the minority in my school and community so I feel this is why I am able to relate more to the Spanish speaking community. Never did I feel out of place until I moved to a undiverse community in Florida a few years ago.

After clicking around from link to link, I was flattered by the different services that are provided on the other side of the country for the Latino community. There is even a page full of groups you can join in Tucson. I was even part of a non-profit organization called Sinfronteras - without borders - until I moved. I look forward to seeing more sites similar to these so that Ismael and I could post them up on our page for easy access.

Cuidate,
Casey
